SCOOTERDOG
Long time no posty Hey I have a pair of SS-1's I am going to place in my RV. I plan on installing a 12 volt in-dash dvd receiver since I do a lot of boondocking. Anyway the car stereo is 80 watts per ch (more like 25wpc) but of course presents a 4ohm load. Will this indash be able to drive my little SS-1's? Look Forward to hearing from all of you
Ironsave
Yes. They may not sound so great for music, as these were designed for sound dispersion. (I have the SS3s)..... Anyway.... good luck.....
Moderators Youthman Posted March 8, 2010 Moderators Share Posted March 8, 2010 Thinking way back to my days in car audio...why would the receiver see a 4ohm load if you are hooking up two 8ohm speakers in stereo? From what I remember, the only way the receiver would see a 4ohm load is if you hooked both speakers up in parallel. Am I correct in my thinking?
