joshnich
Great condition TD-124 with unused Jelco 12 inch arm, new armboard, and custom plinth. Also included is a ceramic bearing upgrade. All in this would cost way more than the 1800.00 I am asking. Email me for further info.
bliss53
Have you got a picture of the table?
seti
I'm using that 12 inch Jelco arm as well. It is great.
bliss53
I have the ortofon version of the jelco. I should have followed you guys and saved some money. Still sounds good though.

The Ortofon version is beautiful. It looks better. I'm betting Ortofon made a few important tweaks to the arm as well.
oldtimer
For that kind of money why not go with a high mass platter rim drive like the vpi scout instead of an old idler drive? The 124 does have it's own cult followers so it must be pretty good, I'm just sayin....
Mike Lindsey
I'd put my TD-124 up against a VPI Scoutmaster. Don't know which would win but I would like to hear one of them and find out.
oldtimer
I would love to hear that head on head also. Consider the maintenance also.
joshnich
Sorry I meant to post this in the FS area - and will do so once I can take some photos. I would tend to agree with oldtimer. my main tt is a clearaudio champion level 2 with an origin live encounter arm. I think it sounds better than the thorens for most of the music I play. The Thorens is pretty darn good and has a "cult" following because of the performance. Josh
