Skyforcer85
Hello! I want to build powerful home theatre system. But there are some problems. My room is quite small - approx 15 square meters I like the Reference line speakers, what model can you advice? For now, my choice is RF-63 as the main speakers, because of power handling (my system is NAD T754 + NAD C372(left front, bridge mode) + NAD C272(right front, bridge mode) works with Infinity Beta 50) - some times I love to listen music at the extreme volume. But people told me that they are too big for my room. What can you say about this?Front speakers will stand along the bigger wall. My room is not overloaded by furniture - there are a sofa, a pair of tables and the rack with system.Beforehand, thank you!p.s.By the way, I saw that RF 63 is twice more expensive than RF 62(even RF 82) - because of what?p.s.2 - sorry for my english, I'm from Russia)))
Kritzer
Hello! I believe for a room of that size a pair of RF-63 will do fine. The reason the RF-63 are more expensive is besides visible differences (the addtional driver compared to the RF-62) it includes a different crossover and the drivers in the RF-63 are superior to those in the RF-62. The initial purchasing cost is steep, but in the long run I believe you will enjoy them. Matt
Yura
You should also consider where you will be buying them - as the larger/heavier the speaker - the more it will cost to ship them. Also for small room you should consider bookshelfs like the RB81 paired with RSW-10D. This will give you plenty of loud, clear sound and won't look out of place in a small room. Udachi s poiskom! Southern
By the way, I saw that RF 63 is twice more expensive than RF 62(even RF 82) - because of what? The difference bewteen the RF 63 and RF 62 is like the difference between Jack Daniels Single Barrel and Black Lable. Both are good but the Single Barrel is smoother and more refined and also cost more. I also like to listen to music at live concert volume levels and the RF 63 or RF 83 will make you glad you spent the extra money.
Skyforcer85
Thanks for everyone! May be you can tell me what it would be the proper position for RF 63's? What is the minimum distance from the back wall? I heared that it is necessary to put them as far as possible from the back wall because of rear-firing ports? and what would be better? - one RSW-10D, or a pair of RW-10D? Stolenrs
not sure if it's really correct or not, but I was always told that the distance from wall = size of your ports, so a 4" port would be 4" from the wall. As for the subs, I am a big fan of dual subs.... but I would go for dual 12" ~ross
Kritzer
The RSW-10D is a beast. I personally would not mind adding one to my setup . However, if your room setup would allow for two subs, the result "might" be superior. The only downfall is ensuring that they are correctly positioned so they do not negatively effect each other. -Kritzer
willland
The reason the RF-63 are more expensive is besides visible differences (the addtional driver compared to the RF-62) it includes a different crossover and the drivers in the RF-63 are superior to those in the RF-62. The initial purchasing cost is steep, but in the long run I believe you will enjoy them. Another reason for the cost difference is that the RF-63/83 and RC-64 are all made at the Hope, Arkansas factory and they are manufactured with real wood veneers. Skyforcer85
Hm,ok! and what about RF 82? In your opinion, when room is not big, what speaker will be more suitable in such conditions ? with two 8" or three 6,5"woofers? Or it doesn't matter?
