Clipped and Shorn
What is going on with the Forum structure? It has suddenely become too large for my iMac screen and too inconventient to utilize. I do not know how to fix this. Also it has been very sluggish lately and I have a fast DSL. Anyone else have problems or anyone know how I can fix the screen thing. Just started happening in the last few days. -vistavisioned and cinemascoped ------------------ Cornwalls currently upgrading to all tube components

edster00
I have had some problems accessing the forums here today but I have not had a problem with the display. I have a DSL line also and I haven't really noticed any slowdown except when I have gotten "the page cannot be displayed" error message. Ray Garrison
I haven't seen any problems. I attached a screen grab of the first page of the two page post in the technical questions forum that you said was too wide to display. Maybe if you do a screengrab and post it here we might have an idea... justin_tx_16
Ray... do you have a wide format screen? ------------------ -justin SoundWise Support A technical help site created by me and my fellow Klipschers I am an amateur, if it is professional; ProMedia help you want email Amy or call her @ 1-888-554-5665 or for an RA# 800-554-7724 ext 5 Klipsch Home Audio help you want, email support@klipsch.com or call @ 1-800-KLIPSCH RA# Fax Number=317-860-9140 / Parts Department Fax Number=317-860-9150s>
boa12
well no chinese av, but think it just happens w/ a pic or such inserted into the thread. like say if justin put a wider pic in here I wonder if it would then jump wide??? ------------------ My Home Systems Page
dougdrake
I think boa's hit the nail on the head. The HTML behind these posts can wrap text and size the column widths to fit your screen. But, it can't wrap a wide image so it has to make the column wider to hold it, causing the appearance of the left/right scroll bars. Clipped and Shorn
It is this thread that was larger than my screen: http://216.37.9.58/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001110.html -riffed and periffed ------------------ Cornwalls currently upgrading to all tube components
Seb
yup, exactly that. as for the slowdown, it happened to me once as well, but then it came back to its usual relatively fast speed. ------------------ http://members.fortunecity.com/sebdavid - go laugh at my crappy website/equipment http://www.dvdprofiler.com/mc.asp?alias=Sebdavid - go laugh at my puny little DVD collection
Clipped and Shorn
apparently even DSL can sometimes crash and sometimes loose a connection. Things are back to normal speed wise, but I still wonder why that one thread expanded like that, does it have to do with the first poster? -toasted and posted ------------------ Cornwalls currently upgrading to all tube components
boa12
as we were guessing above, it's the pic(graphic). shame on u ray. nice pic though. has anyone seen it happen when there's not a pic in the thread? i think doug explained it to a tee. yea go to page 2 of that thread. no pic - no wide thread. ------------------ My Home Systems Page This message has been edited by boa12 on 04-03-2002 at 09:22 PM
Clipped and Shorn
Are you saying it is the picture of the jumper cables which caused the whole page of posts to widen? The photo of the amp with the transparent cylinders around the tubes is a small picture. -rapped and wrapped ------------------ Cornwalls currently upgrading to all tube components
boa12
u mean the monster ad? that's on every thread page. yea it's the tube amp. like doug's saying it doesn't wrap so it pushes all the space to the right & makes the page wider. just my take. ------------------ My Home Systems Page
boa12
hey, how do you guys get a pic to show in a post? does it have to be a pic on the web somewhere? This message has been edited by boa12 on 04-03-2002 at 10:09 PM

Clipped and Shorn
It must be some kind of Mac problem. Now that I know it is not on every thread I won't worry about it. I just tested your hypothesis, you are correct sir. -indebted and practiced ------------------ Cornwalls currently upgrading to all tube components This message has been edited by Clipped and Shorn on 04-03-2002 at 11:38 PM
