CIGARBUM
Just came across a console type unit, no turner, but had the amp and truntable in it. Can anyone shed some light on what this is, ID tag says Model ADR -433, 12 watts each channel, series 112, tubes (4) 6BQ5/EL84, (2) 7025/12AX7, (2) 6AV6 and (2) 6U8. Is it worth saving and have it rebuild?? Cigarbum
thebes
Four EL84's would indicate that it's a push/pull type. El84's make for some sweet sounding amps so, depending on what they used for transformers, it probably would be worth re-capping, and having the tubes tested. There may also have to be some re-wiring because of connections between the amp and the long gone tuner. 12 watts should be sufficient power for most Klipsch speakers. Post a pic or two of the undersides and tope and folks should be able to tell you more.

jtnfoley
I've been looking for one for some time... There's a site, "MadeInRochester" over on Audiophool, where Tom Bavis (sp??) has schematics, marketing literature, SAMS folders, and other information. The 433 was the TOTL integrated if I remember correctly. Post over on audiokarma and Tom will chime in, as will many others with restoration advice. NOSValves
Is ADR the Typo? I believe they went by ASR-433 and if in nice cosmetic condition then yes well worth getting it restored. I owned one years ago and sold it to a freind he is still using it. I have the service & install/user manual for the ASR-433. Craig
