BigCliff
Matt, that is what I was thinking it was. I would rather have the extra speaker. Can you do it that way and if you show no center speaker in the setup menu it will send all the center info to left and right front channels? Did not see anything in the manual that suggests doing that.
Ironsave
Cliff, it should be done automatically if you turn off the center channel. (Justl ike turning off the rear surrounds, it sends that info to the main surrounds automatically). It works better than you think; but obviously; a timbre matched center is the ideal way to go.......
moray james
Take a walk through your surround processor options. It's for when people don't have or want to use a centre channel. With properly set up stereo speakers it can sound excellent. Best regards Moray James. davis419b
Chorus IIs and Chorus have different midrange horns, tractrix and exponential respectivly. All 3 tweeter horns are the same !
moray james
Can you explain how this is so? did you change them out so they match? The flare rate on a Chorus mid horn is exponential while the flare rate on a Chorus ll is a Tractrix contour. Best regards Moray James. chisoxpurdue
He is referring to the tweeter horn which is exponential. The Midrange horn is the one that changes from I to II edition.
Ironsave
This is correct; the Academy has the same tweeter; BUT....... Since it is 2 way; and Chorus' are 3 way; in my mind it makes sense to have a nice big Tractrix horn for tweeter/mids on the KV4 (or KLF C7). This matches way better to the mids than an Academy.... Just my opinion...... It's too bad they never made 3 way Heritage center channels..... (Yeah; I know.... they did; "just get another Heresy, Chorus, Lascala, Cornwall or Forte etc..." You know what I meant)....
wuboy
I actually took the pedestal from a Quartet, laid in on it's side and it supports my flat screen. The Quartet blends well with the Chorus II's.
