My room size ia about 250sqft. I am starting to build my home audio I have the RF82's right now,and I was told to match with the Rc62 what should I use for my surrounds and my power sub. I am only going to run 5.1. I like to listen to music and watch movies it's a 50/50 split. My budget for the sub will be around $700 Cnd and I am not sure what surrounds would cost , but I figure around $500. Using a onkyo 708 receiver.

Thanks for the help.

I would look for a pair of RS-42's/42II's or the RS-52's/52II's.

This is a great deal on a pair of RS-42II surrounds.

Check out the used market first. This Paradigm is a beast of a sub. Offer $750.00 and see where it goes.

Add these two up and you are close to your budget.

If you want new, this Klipsch should mate very well with your setup.

In my room I’ve had the rs-42 rs-52 and now the rs-62ii I would say that if you get the rs-52ii you won’t need another set of surrounds again. You could get by with the Rs-42but you would probably end up upgrading down the road (wish I thought of this hundreds of dollars ago lol)

There are a couple of "new in box" XW-500 subs on audiogon.com for a good price. One is $500.00 shipped. The other is $400.00 plus shipping from LA. I am told it is a nice "musical sub" but I don't know that it really digs down deep for HT (10" woofer). The Epic Legend is a great 12" sub for about $500.00 here: http://epiksubwoofers.com/legend.html. I have a similar set-up and want to get the RS-52s. These retail new for around $800.00 (surrounds are not cheap) but can generally be had in the $500.00 range used. You just have to watch out for them. Surrounds tend to come onto the market much less frequently than the other speakers, however, they are rarely in poor condition (unless they've been knocked off the wall) as they tend to not get moved or disturbed by probing toddlers.
