seti
I was rather surprised by this graph. It makes me want to have all concrete corners in my house LOL. It doesn't look like the most exact graph. I think the emphasis is suppsosed to be the low end. Has anyone seen this before.?
Moderators dtel Posted August 31, 2011 Moderators Share Posted August 31, 2011 When they say concrete or gypsum are both considered as a solid corner ? Or concrete Vs gypsum ? Dramatic difference, one of each please, the solid wall for bass and the flimsy for high freq, can't have it both way i guess. [] What about concrete for the bass bin and 1/4"ply for the top half. pzannucci
Seti, That chart has been around for a while or at least similar ones. Don't remember the origins though. In my old house, cement floor (covered with carpet) and sheetrock over cement walls made the basshorns come alive.
Don Richard
Whenever the surfaces of the room flex they absorb energy, especially in the low frequencies. Remember the Mythbusters episode where they showed some of the crank it up contest competition vehicles? They looked more like armored cars than regular vehicles.
