Vital
I have ignored RS-7s for about 8 years. I guess I had read a few things here and there over the years that made me think direct radiating speakers were better surrounds so I never had any interest in listening to the WDST style speakers. Well after reading some recent reviews I found a pair and bought them. Wow... these things are awesome! To me they are way better surrounds than bookshelves or towers, can't believe I waited so long to get them! They surround you with sound, definitely took my theater room to the next level! cornfedksboy
If properly set-up, WDST speakers will envelope you in the cinematic experience. For 5 channel music, I'm still a fan of direct firing, but that is a different story.
Moderators Youthman Posted November 11, 2011 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2011 congrats on the new purchase. I too prefer the wide dispersion for HT.
Moderators dtel Posted November 11, 2011 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2011 I think it really depends on the room more than anything. In a smaller room or one with the seating positioned certain ways compared to the back or side walls make a big difference which sounds best. imo
