JHoman
Just noticed a pronounced hum in my set up. Volume up or down, no matter the source that is selected. Turn off the Pre & it is gone. First time I noticed it was when I hooked up my turntable. I unhooked the TT ground and it seemed to go away. Today it is louder than ever and not only on the phono selection. I still have the phono ground unhooked. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks, Jeff
jhoak
No suggestions for a resolution but if it were mine I'd be dropping a PM to mdeneen for advise. Good luck! Hope it's something fairly simple.
fini
Does it still hum when all imputs are unplugged?
JHoman
Have not tried that yet, but I will when things slow down.
JHoman
Contacted Mark via email, went through a few steps to check the pre, everything checked out. Pulled every input from the BBX, plugged them back in, one by one. Turned out hum was coming from turn table. It's strange, P1 where it was connected hummed without the phono being turned on. Moved the phono to P2 and hooked it back up, all is now well. I really don't understand it. Well it was great getting help from Mark & I'm happy all is well in BBX land. NOSValves
I bet something is wrong with the phone 1 RCA jacks on the BBX. They may need to be re-soldered.

JHoman
Craig, I'll pull the case & check it when I can slow down enough. Thanks for the suggestion!
