Here is what I have found works very well using attenuators, it will tame the harshness and brightness giving a slightly warmer sound and improved detail in quieter sounds. Use an attenuator at each connection at your XPA amp (between amp and processor). I use seven -15db XLR attenuators one at each XLR input on my XPA-2 and XPA-5 amps.

I love what this does for how my system sounds. This also helps Audyessy to perform correctly with highly efficient Klipsch speakers. After installing the attenuators re calibrate your Audyessy settings and manually reset processor settings for crossovers etc., then use a higher volume approximately the amount of the -db as the attenuators you are using.

Here are a few links on using attenuators

The links come from the Rothwell brand but there are other brands as well this is what I use http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?PartNumber=240-414

Try less toe-in on your speakers. Aiming the horns directly at your ears will accentuate the frequencies it produces. Klipsch speakers image incredibly well with little to no toe-in.
