lynnm Posted May 25, 2002 Share Posted May 25, 2002 You may have noticed a tendency on my part over the last few months to be occasionaly overly confrontational and at times - out and out nasty. As Paul Harvey says - And now Here is the rest of the story: About a year ago I noticed a problem with my hearing and assumed that it was merely an aging thing,(I am, after all,just barely on the sunny side of 60), and had my hearing tested. My audiologist recommended hearing aids and my doctor referred me to a specialist. The specialist retested my hearing and informed me that he was concerned regarding the pattern of my hearing loss. I pushed him on that point and,(I never was able to leave well enough alone), he told me that the pattern I exhibited was worrisome. He basically declined to go into more detail but told me that he had booked me for an MRI. Being a calm,reasonable,unflappable,indefagitable type I came to the only reasonable conclusion possible. I'M DYING HERE - SCHEIZE!!! - I FINALLY GET TO OWN A PAIR OF HIGH END KLIPSCH SPEAKERS AND I AIN'T GONNA LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO GET REPAID FOR THE EFFORT INVOLVED IN GETTING THE DUCATS TO HAVE THEM.s> Fortunately there is good news for me! TA DA The MRI results proved that there ain't a whole hell of a lot going on between my ears after all - ( my wife could have told them that much if anyone had bothered to ask ). This leaves me with a problem! I developed something of an attitude - As a result I have tended to be more outspoken/blunter/ruder than usual,( I honestly thought I was about to die - and sooner than later),and quite frankly I at times took an FU attitude to my fellow Klipsch fanatics. The lesson for me is that If I have a problem - It does not follow that the rest of my world has a problem! To those I have offended - Please accept my apologies. I have extended the olive branch via PM's or email to those whom I have unfairly attacked/insulted. Your sharing by PM, emails, and this post shows that your wife and the doctors are wrong... you do quite a bit between those ears! Keep that Great Green Heron flying (hmm, maybe you should also wear a SPLAT hat)... and do what you can to enjoy all the Klipsch you can. In any event - I rarely eat in restaurants these days because of an incident that occurred a few days before I got the news about my MRI results: Moi: I'll have the Rib Eye Snooty Waiter: How would you like your steak prepared? Moi: PROPERLY OF COURSE ! Can you believe This!! The guy copped an attitude and was surly all evening!! Sheeeesh! Just Kidding Folks!
