spyder152
I was wondering if somebody tried the bash 300 for a replacement amp? How is the fit, and power compared to stock, I just emailed klipsch for a replacement so while I am waiting for a response, I found these... http://oaudio.com/300W_SUBAMP.html http://oaudio.com/500W_SUBAMP.html I dont know which one is closer to the stock one and I have a non D rw-12 if that makes a difference.. Pictures of someone that has done this would be nice too, Thanks

Fish
If anyone cares, you are still able to buy the stock amp plate from klipsch, $250, 1 year warranty... part # 1006680 That is shameful, the amp should not fail, if it does it should not cost as much as a new sub
spyder152
well, I'm gonna take a chance on a new replacement amp from a dealer from Canada, it was $100. is there a difference between the subs sold in Canada vs USA?
CECAA850
If it's 120v, 60Hz, it should be fine, assuming the wall plugs are the same.
spyder152
Ok, got my new plate amp, the wires inside connecting the woofer to the plate are tiny, would it improve anything if I put bigger awg wire connecting the two?
CECAA850
Certainly couldn't hurt.

ounvme
I attempt repairs on the OEM amps if you are willing to send it out. Success rate depends on the damage but usually 80%.
spyder152
I found a new replacement , but would like a back up, what do you charge?
ounvme
I really would have to look at it but I would ballpark it around $60 including parts. I always estimate first.
Diamond Dave
Any ideas on the original amp and why it started blowing fuses as soon as it's powered up? Have you seen a common failure causing this to happen from a certain area/component on these amps? Money is extremely tight so I'm thinking I need to take a whack at it myself first but if I can't do you think we are talking approx $60. cost as well?
