Quiet_Hollow
I have recently been hanging out with a lot of jtr guys and I have not heard the orbit shitter but they all say it falls on its face at 20 hz but from there up it is an absolute monster. So if it was for home theater I would say to look elsewhere. Falls on its face? ....20 Hz? Careful with that new crowd, I smell some [bs] . Careful with that new crowd, I smell some . the new crowd I've been with have actually shed a lot of light on things. I'm learning new things every day with them. Lots of measuring gear. Lots of different gear to hear as well. Been lots of fun. Going to a meet soon to meet mark seaton and Jeff permanian. Both JTR and seaton sound make some incredible products after working at danley sound together.
Quiet_Hollow
I'm learning new things every day with them. That's great to hear. Good times. Lots of measuring gear. Gear is easy to come by today, just make sure the people using it and interpreting the data for you are qualified to do so. Don't be afraid to ask your teachers hard questions. For instance, an 18 dB /oct roll-off below Fc is not simply "falling on its face". It's actually a very desirable feature of the front-loaded horn design.
