Kain
Lets say both of these two subwoofers were equal in price. Would you then buy dual SVS CS-Ultras (with SVS SS drivers) or dual Klipsch RSW-15s? ------------------ Coming soon... TheEAR
The truth is two SVS Ultra cost less with the Crown amp then two RSW15's.So...my answer is SVS Two SVS Ultras with a muscle amp outperform just about anything(besides some very expensive and/or very large subs). The question is do you need all this output below 30Hz? The answer is NO For me its a YES,no sub can satisfy my sub bass craving, unless you give me a Whise 616 with a Bryston 14ST or two. The answer is NO" You don't need it, but the more, the merrier That's why I own Klipsch speakers, because they take sound to such dynamic and powerful limits - and so should it be with your subwoofers. If you buy too much sub, no problem - you can turn it down, and you'll have "umph" in reserve. Both the Klipsch and the SVS will deliver the goods - but I would go the SVS route. SVS simply rules on the price vs. performance scale - the only downside with SVS is the WAF problems associated with the cylinders. Aside from that, they are the value performance champs. kenratboy
I mean, do you have to pay extra for the foam surrounds, paper cones, or cone tweeter!!! Look at the quality! - Only $300 ------------------ Receiver: Sony STR-DE675 CD player: Sony CDP-CX300 Turntable: Technics SL-J3 with Audio-Technica TR485U Speakers: JBL HLS-610 Subwoofer: JBL 4648A-8 Sub amp: Parts Express 180 watt Center/surrounds: Teac 3-way bookshelfs Yes, it sucks, but better to come. TheEAR
Look at the cast aluminium extrusions! LOL The mid-bass must be made by Focal and the tweeter by Dynaudio. Its pure Direct Reflected sound, now just add the Acoustic Mess one notey subwoofer(no real output below 30Hz) and voila. The last time I heard B0$e speakers I had to go to the bathroom. The sound was so realistic TheEAR(s) Now theears
