Sold my T-500 for a couple of hundred with grills shabby. Looking at a 2 way with Epic versus 3 way with the Tangent. Marvel Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 The Tangent 500 has the same components as the 400, only the 500 model uses a passive radiator instead of ports. Other than the passive, the parts are the same as a Heresy II (including the crossover). The main problem with the Tangent series is the cabinets are particularly solid. New cabinets would be easy to make. This is precisely what some folks have done when the got Heresy II to Heresy III upgrades... Teh took the HII parts and put them in cabs the size of the Tangent 400. Nice! Now they have a speaker with specs of 38-20kHz. Bruce Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
