General Description: Up for auction a pair of Klipsch Khorns, one is serial number 142, the 22nd
speaker made by Klipsch. In 1948 Klipsch made 26 speakers, serial
numbers 142, 143 and 144 were shipped to Victor Brociner on Dec. 20,
1948. Number 142 was one of only 26 Khorns produced in what is now
called the “Museum Building” in Hope, Arkansas.
These Khorns are in good condition and sound great. The 1948 Khorn
comes with a Magnavox woofer, (Brociner typically put his own drivers in
Klipsch cabs) K-77 tweeter and K-55 mid driver and K400 horn, plus Type
1 RD crossover. The other Khorn has the same compliment of tweeter, mid
and crossover with a Klipsch K33 woofer. These speakers are HIONFI
certified. They meet or exceed all factory specs.

I'm sure everyone has seen this.

Not sure what he means by "They meet or exceed all factory specs." Don't know if they had specs back then and the caps look pretty old.

is there anything original about that 1948 Khorn? All the drivers are newer, the top "box" is just a sheet of plywood with the drivers poorly screwed into...

too bad the wooden horn is gone, that would have been worth something
