The Dude
They do look cool, but for the price there are options here in the U.S..
Elso Kwak
I finally got the Heyder horns after 8weeks waiting. Extremely heavy stuff each horn weighs 30kg My first impression is spacious sound but a bit bright with EV 1829 drivers. (compared to Klipsch K400) Link to website of heyder horns: http://www.lm-h.bplaced.net/

mustang guy
It looks like they laminated birch until it was thick enough to turn on a lathe. Cut a dome shape, and quartered it. One dome would make a top and bottom for two horns. It's a very efficient way to create these complex curves.
Elso Kwak
Yes it seems he has done it that way. But it's not birch but laminated beech.
Daan
I'm thinking about the biggest version to go with my new Universal Classic cabinets and go two-way since I've got a pair of Beyma CP750Ti drivers lying around doing nothing... How do your horns sound like, it is a tractrix design right? Nico
The Dude
Looks like the ones Dave just built.
ZAKO
looks like a awata horn..
Elso Kwak
It' s not a Tractrix. Maybe Iwata, the designer does not disclose any further information, The side walls are flat, the vertical expansion seems exponential. Nico be carefull; I am still waiting for the adapters I payed, since July 30. Best use Paypal.
