Their new replacement for the 818 the 828 doesn't even have multi eq xt! What's joke. Now their mid level 800$ receiver is equivalent to their current sub 500$ receivers. Fish Posted September 12, 2013 Share Posted September 12, 2013 I'd say the deal is just OK....The only Onkyo ever to blow an HDMI board on me was my 805. There is lots of chatter about the HDMI boards but I've had an 805, 605,606,607,608,616, 708, 809 all with no HDMI issues. That's not to say one may blow anytime, it could, but I bought my 809 for $426 delivered from Amazon new, there is nothing better w/features for that price new, at all.
