finallygotmyheresies
With Coyote's help, last week I picked up a pair of empty Cornwall II cabinets. They are in great shape and I have decided to put them back to a factory appearance. I have a pair of NIB cast 15" Crites woofers and need everything else. If I get lucky enough to find all stock guts I will just buy them but I'm not willing to wait 2-3 years for all of those pieces to show up either here or on Ebay. Does anyone know if there are direct (no cabinet mod) replacements for either the K-75k or K-601 horns? I suspect that there is a better chance at finding a replacement for the k-75 than the K-601 but who knows. Thanks for any input you all have. Daddy Dee
I'd post a WTB in the garage sale section. It's pretty amazing what parts folks have got sitting in closets! congrats and good luck on the project! Have you given any consideration for building up cornscalas instead of stock? finallygotmyheresies
yes I have considered going 2-way with these as well but for now I just want them to look stock. These cabinets are very nice and I don't want to modify them at this time. I do plan on taking this to the garage sale section once I know what I need to ask for

I don't think the cast frame will fit in the Cornwall II cabinets. I think the frame diameter is too much to recess into the front.
finallygotmyheresies
I will check them out tomorrow and post my results. If I wind up needing woofers as well maybe klipsch will sell me a CWIII conversion kit like they offer for Heresy owners
CECAA850
The C3 woofer is moved substantially upward on the motarboard compared to the C2. I believe the relocation was taken into consideration when they built the crossover.

You are correct Bob, your cast frame 15"s do not fit in a Cornwall II. bummer
djk
"klipsch will sell me a CWIII conversion kit like they offer for Heresy owners " Won't fit either. The CWIII uses a Heresy mid-horn. Since you have the woofers and need everything other than the cabinets, I would suggest new front boards and go two-way with the larger 1.4" throat Elliptical Tractrix horn (LTH142) from Faital Pro and one of their 1.4" drivers. HF140 on LTH142
