Don Richard Posted November 30, 2014 Share Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) You could always hook up an outboard amp to the sub if you like the sound of the sub. Some pro amps have DSP in them if you need a crossover. Might be cheaper to just buy a new sub. If it blows a fuse, it will almost ALWAYS blow the replacement fuse. It makes about as much sense as jumping a car with a dead alternator. If you blow a fuse, you should take it in for service.
