john toon
I was listening to some music the other day in 5ch stereo and noticed that my belle doesn't have the crisp highs that my khorns have. I made sure the EQ settings for each speaker was the same when testing. I am using a k-77 tweeter I took out of a heresy and an A style crossover in the belle and the khorns have the ak-2 crossovers with the same tweeters. I want to eventually upgrade all the crossovers with crites when I can afford it. will new crossovers fix my problem or do you think the tweeter is going bad? beeker
Try using one of the khorn speaker wires on the belle in 2ch and maybe even khorn on center ch wire in stereo and see if there is a difference for the better/worse...comparable. 5 ch stereo in a lot of situations in my opinion isnt very flattering
oldtimer
Agreed the mix could be the problem not the speakers. The only way to find out is to swap out speakers.

djk
Is the K77 from the Heresy Alnico? Less output than the ceramic magnet tweeter in the AK model Klipschorns. The AK network plays about 1dB hotter with its elliptical filter than the AA network does.
Bill W.
The two networks will sound quite different in the tweeter section, even if the type A network has viable caps. The higher-order networks are definately more sibilant.
