dbomberger
I saw Ginger Baker taken off the stage in San Antonio after one of the few concerts performed by Blind Faith, he was still drumming and sweating gallons. -I don't think his "vitamins" had quit coursing through his veins at that point. Still, one amazing concert. Micky Hart though is in a whole different league, maybe another planet. But on yet another level, when the Dead played with Olatunji (African Drummers) live at Telluride, that is another experience that I will never forget-don't ever want to forget, you felt it in every part of your body and mind at the same time (and I wasn't partaking of any mood or mind altering supplements). Marvel
Here is Steve Gadd (from Steely Dan, think of his work on AJA) giving a master class on how to use a rattamacue in a fill. He is super smooth, and you can tell by the way he talks he knows music, not just drumming. His drumming technique, ie, the way he holds the drum sticks and strikes the drum head, is excellent, and drum tuning is excellent. I like Steve Gadd's work with James Taylor. He's been preforming with him for years now.
