JiminSTL
Howdy, everyone, Was surfing on Ebay, and found this listing at a Salvation Army store in Austin. Anybody in that general area? Obvious cosmetic work to be done. But the speakers themselves appear to be good. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-KLF-30-Speakers-Home-Audio-Floorstanding-Loudspeaker-Main-Tower-LOCAL-PU-/321481969399?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item4ad9d18ef7#viTabs_0 Any thoughts about the price/condition ($299/as is)? I have KLF-30s and 20s and love them!
pzannucci
Looks like it may be worth $299 though they do need lots of work and at least one woofer. Look closely and one looks like it was smashed on the lower right. For $435 with the woofer and a couple of cans of spray paint, might be a deal. Boxx
See if he will take a discount if you come to pick them up.... The trip to Austin will be worth it....
JiminSTL
Boxx, you are right about Austin. Have been there once (2 years ago), and thoroughly enjoyed it!
pzannucci
I will have to go to the one not to far from me. There are four stores in about 30 miles so I will have to see if I am ambitious. Since it is ebay, they are probably looking for bids.
JiminSTL
Great! Will you be a potential buyer, or are you only going to kick the tires? Not an Ebay expert, but I think that they can remove them from the process if there has been no bid. avguytx
I've got a buddy in Austin. May have him look at head for me. He comes home to see family here a few times a year; he could transport these back for me. Hmmm...
pzannucci
I ended up getting quite busy with other stuff and could not get by to the Salvation Army near me. The others will be out of the question for the next few weeks.
ChuckAb3
The link says they are sold. Price isn't too bad although putting them in really good shape could mean spending a some time and money.
JiminSTL
Hey, Chuck, Yes, another Forum member purchased them a couple of days ago. Darn, the KLF-30s sound good, don't they?!
