URL's getting changed by forum causing images to not load

I know that you are correct because for the past 7 years, I have been hosting my own images.  I never realized that sometimes I would use capital letters say on file name but when I embed the images in the Klipsh and AVS forum, I would use say all lowercase.  Until recently, my images have always loaded without being case sensitive.

I'm really hoping they can do something on their end because there is no way I would be able to locate every post I've made in 7 years and correct the URL's.

I thought about changing all of the images on the server to lowercase but that would mess up the URL's that I used upper and lowercase.

Interestingly....I found another thread that had many images that were not loading.  Looking at the URL's, I noticed that the folder that I store forum files in has changed to /forumfilws/Klipsch-RF-7ii-Crossover-Removal-4.jpg.  The actual folder is called /forumfiles/.  Chad, what in the forum would have caused that to change?  It has nothing to do with the server on my end.

That is REALLY strange. Nothing in the forum would do that. Maybe something in the middle? I got nothing.

Tell me about it.  I haven't changed anything on my end.  Server files are the same, untouched.  Forum threads haven't been edited.  I have NO IDEA what caused so many of my images to no longer load on the forums.  :(   Oh well, it's not the end of the world.  :D

Here is another page where my images are no longer working

If you view it in Internet Explorer or Chrome, you can see there are 13 images that are no longer working.

I can't explain what's going on but honestly, the problem points to the forum, not the web host.

Looking at the first image that isn't loading, the actual image uploaded to my server is Bracket1_small.jpg but the url on the klipsch forum somehow got changed to bracket1_small.jpg which causes the image to no longer load.

Correct URL that was originally used in the Klipsch Forum

http://www.soleproductions.com/forumfiles/Bracket1_small.jpg

Bracket1_small.jpg

Broken URL on Klipsch Forum

http://www.soleproductions.com/forumfiles/bracket1_small.jpg

bracket1_small.jpg

It wouldn't be that big of a deal but as you can see from the screenshot below, changing the file names for 1000 files is going to take forever.

From now on, all of my images will be lowercase to prevent this from happening.  It just stinks that there is no way of telling how many of the 1004 photos I've shared on the Klipsch forums are no longer loading since the new forum was implemented.

Wakejunkie just helped me out big time.....he found a free batch renaming software.  I downloaded my entire /forumfile/ folder with all of my images, batch process all of the images to have them renamed to all lowercase and uploaded those files back to the server.  So now I have duplicate images (some with capitalization and some without) but it will resolve any instances of where the forum renamed the URL to all lowercase.
