Emjay
Hi. I bought a pair of RB-81s on ebay. My previous experience is with the Synergy range, and these have a brass plate which links the 2 sets of speaker posts. However, these RB-81s do not have this. Are they missing from the previous owner, or not used on the reference series? Thanks for your assistance
The History Kid
If there is no plate between the two sets of terminals, then you should use speaker wire to connect the two positive and two negative terminals together on the speaker unless you intend to bi-wire or bi-amp them.
Emjay
Ok, great, I appreciate the quick response! I hadn't thought of using speaker wire, was thinking I'd have to get more brass plates somehow
Sancho Panza
Welcome to the Klipsch Forums, mj. If you have to have them, call Klipsch parts with your serial numbers. Edited August 16, 2014 by Sancho Panza
The History Kid
Plates are convenient but not entirely necessary. Welcome btw
willland
Emjay, Welcome to the forum. Ok, great, I appreciate the quick response!I hadn't thought of using speaker wire, was thinking I'd have to get more brass plates somehow If it is absolutely not a must for you to get the factory jumpers from Klipsch, good quality 14 gauge or larger speaker wire will actually be better.
