mungkiman
just read this quote that Joan made in 2013 ... "The trouble with me is, I make jokes too often," she told the AP in 2013, just days after the death of her older sister. "I was making jokes yesterday at the funeral home. That's how I get through life. Life is SO difficult — everybody's been through something! But you laugh at it, it becomes smaller." I totally relate to her now. My Aunt passed away and the Portuguese side of my family is Catholic. So we're at this funeral home...i find the whole idea of viewing a dead body to be quite unpleasant, so i say to my cousin, "you know when you told me that your mom died, I believed you ... you didn't have to show me." Nobody laughed. That's actually a good one, I'll remember that. I heard this morning she was doing better…..RIP funny lady. I heard this afternoon that she was certainly in a better place. Have only been to one open casket, and was mostly surprised to see how much shorter my friend was than I will always remember...
Taz
I heard this morning she was doing better…..RIP funny lady. She is She was funny, I would be thrilled to make it to 81. Not uncommon for a person to Rally/seem to improve, before dying later in the day. I don't know if they just relax and don't worry about what is coming. Have seen and heard of it more then once. I have also had conversations with those about to die. I don't recall anyone complaining about it. Must agree RIP
