Rjk1972 Posted April 24, 2016 Share Posted April 24, 2016 Reviving this thread because I have a 500c at NOS Valves now and am looking for tube suggestions. I have what I think is a nice mix in there now, Matsushita in tone and phono spots, NOS TungSol Blackplates in the phase inverter and Sylvanias in MPX spots. I know people love the Teles they came with and I'm going to try a pair. Right now I'm trying to get as much info about the 500c as I can and some tube suggestions. Anyone tried any 5751s? Also, how much effect will the phase inverter tubes have on the sound? Anyone have suggestions for any additional things they got Craig to do? Any parts upgrades or mods? After the Fisher is done my next project is an ALK crossover and a Fastlane Audio Midhorn for my Cornwalls. Nothing like Vintage Tube gear and some Klipsch or Cornscalas.
