RC-3II or RC-7

You're better off with the RC-3-II for matching purposes. While the center channel does carry much of the load of HT, you still don't want it to stand out from the other speakers during viewing. An RC-7 would not blend as well with your fronts.

I subscribe to the bigger is better for centers, if bigger can be accomodated in the set-up. The center does the lion share of work, so if you have the space and it's within budget go with the RC-7. If you feel the RC-3 is more than adequate to meet your need, then save the dollars and go with the RC-3.

I would highly recommend asking your dealer to allow you to audition both, then make a decision based on your own listening pleasure. Your ears will tell you if the additional benefits of an RC-7 are cost worthy.

I agree, if you get the RC-7 now, you will pay a little more but, in the future, you will want to upgrade(it's never ending) and the RC-7 will handle what ever you want to throw at it.

I just did the side by side test last weekend. Started with the rf-3's then the RF-7's. The rf-3's were nice but the RF-7's blow them away. Go with your budget!
