Coytee
I've got the empty MWM cabinets. I have the screws to screw the outside panels on. I have the drivers for most of the cabinets. What I don't have, are the screws to hold in the drivers themselves. Anyone want to share the size I need for the drivers? I live about 18 miles out of town. Speakers are an additional 12 miles away from my house. I don't want to play trial & error if I can avoid it.
Marvel
You are talking about the machine screws that fit into t-nuts? I believe they could be (but wouldn't guarantee...) 10-32. (also used on a lot of equipment racks). Dennis also mentioned that size once. That's what I am using on my LS rebuilds (one is a clone, that only had wood screws). wvu80
I thought he meant screws, not bolts. I also remember in a previous thread someone from Klipsch, Inc commenting that the company used 10/32 machine screws. I just installed some 10/32 1.50" long bolts for use with 6-prong T-nuts into MDF for a DIY build. This was for use in a 15" sub that uses a double baffle 1.5", so these screws are the perfect size to solidly hold the 30 lbs driver. If it helps, the hole I drilled into the MDF was 1/4 inch. +++ I do have some Klipsch tweeter screws in hand. They are 1" long hex head. I don't know how to measure the diameter, but I would say probably #8. It is a course thread for wood with a long, sharp point on the end.
