I still have enough Altec to a 5.1 system : 9842d, 14, and 8. Sold my VOTT, another regret, but hey , I run out of room! japosey Posted February 12, 2016 Share Posted February 12, 2016 I've owned the Valencias and a pair of A7-500's and I preferred the A7's. It seemed like the A7's, although being less visually pleasing, sounded better. I think believe they reached a little lower than the 19's. Maybe it was the 511 horn. I love the old Altec speakers.
