ZEUS121996
So I was in the computer repair shop the other day and they had this amp from an organ sitting there, I couldnt talk him out of it yet. His plan is to put it in an aquarium and fill it with sand to the botttom of the plate. What kind of organ did this come out of and would it make a great amp? jimjimbo
Put it in an aquarium? Why? What are the tubes? No markings or model #?
Wolfbane
Probably not an idea that will generate an environment for healthy fish.
ZEUS121996
They thought it would look cool in an aquarium filled with sand. They pulled from a home organ the family still owns as a decorative piece. Not knowing a lot about amps, I do know some organs (kidney, liver) make great amps. I asked them to tell me the make so I can get some specs on all the tubes. It looks like you could make a 6 channel amp out of it, but again, I dont know much about that Mark Edited November 14, 2015 by ZEUS121996
Guest David H
You would have to get the amp guru's to chime in, but I don't think that would be a good choice. I think that is a mono amp to the left and the sections to the right are the tube tone boards. Dave
