Matthews
Still looking for a K-400 horn lens. The current offerings on eBay cost too much. Putting together all the internals for a future Cornscala project (Crites Original model). Almost there, UHG - the elusive horn again... moray james
are you set on building a three way design and are you also set on a K400/401?
Matthews
are you set on building a three way design and are you also set on a K400/401? Yes Moray, a 3-way design built around AA networks and K-400/401. Thanks...
tromprof
Klipsch used to sell the plastic version (401?) for a reasonable price. Have you tried calling? I remember the price being well below $50 a couple of years back.

Bossman
Found one for about $200.. a bit over budget, but if you really need one here it is. Hope this helps. http://www.ebay.com/itm/KLIPSCH-K-400-Mid-Range-HORN-from-La-Scala-speaker-/272095259071?hash=item3f5a2429bf:g:nPUAAOSwwPhWitum
moray james
if the quality difference between the cast metal K700 and the cast resin K701 holds up the same between a K400 and a K401 then it would be wise to buy the K401 rather than the cast metal K400. So far as the horns that I have owned and seen the build quality and precision of build with the cast resin is head and shoulders better than the cast metal. Worth considering.
