jimjimbo Posted May 19, 2016 Share Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) Nice drive down to Memphis from N. Indiana. Lots of road construction, and a few backups, but not too bad overall. Just happened to hit Memphis/Beale St. on a Wednesday night, which is "Bike Night"....now I'm not a biker, but gotta admit there were lots of beautiful machines there. Many friendly folks willing to talk about their rides, and everyone walking around with a drink in their hand. All the clubs and bars had live shows going on, which was great. Had a good time, and glad I spent the time there.... One other thing.....I found Earl down on Beale St. as well.....he said he was trying to get together some gas money to make it to Hope by selling the last of his bubble guns, and bow ties....I gave him a buck, and he gave me a New York salute..... Most of the buildings were so full of termites all they kept were the facades, building everything else new.
