Dan Pierce
New to this group. Looking to sell my 5.1 setup. Bought it all new maybe 12 years ago. As the title says I have a pair of RF-7 floor speakers , RS-7 surrounds, a down firing 15" sub, which I believe is the KSW -15? And center is an RC-7. What's a fair price for the whole setup, in very good condition. Floor speakers have been powere mostly by a pair of Carver Silver 7s. For home theater I just use a Sony Elite Series receiver. Thanks in advance! Dan Edited March 27, 2017 by Dan Pierce Spelling error
opusk2k9
I saw your ad on CL:https://chicago.craigslist.org/nch/ele/6061548423.html That is pretty good pricing at $1600, if all are in good shape (RF-7 ~$900, RC-7 ~$400, RS-7 ~$300, KSW-15 ~$250, stands ~$100). The market has been sluggish lately. I haven't been able to move my fairly priced RF-63 set.
Dan Pierce
Thanks for the reply! Wanted to leave some room for negotiating. People always want to feel like they got a deal. I'm out of touch with used equipment pricing, so I mostly based the price off what I felt I'd be ok selling them for.
opusk2k9
Nice 5.1 set for a fair price, most people will be hoping the 15" sub is the RSW-15.
Dan Pierce
The speaker on the Sub is black, so I'm assuming it's ksw. I seem to remember trying to save a little $ by going with a non reference series sub.
opusk2k9
The sub is a KSW, either a KSW-15 or KSW-300. I had a KSW-12 and was happy with it.
jjptkd
Are you sure that's not an RC-3 center speaker? The horn screw hole positions look like the RC-3 not the 7. Those surrounds look like RS-3's as well but hard to tell. Nice set up, good luck with your sale!
Dan Pierce
Good point, they could be rc-3 and rs-3. Anyone here know how I can accurately determine which they are? Edited March 27, 2017 by Dan Pierce
TasDom
No labels on the back?
Dan Pierce
No labels, I oredered them new online...they came in all original Klipsch boxes and packaging, but none had labels on the back.
opusk2k9
measure the size of the cabinets and post here, we can determine the model. They should all have come with labels.

opusk2k9
RC-3 and RS-3. That does drop the value of the set.
Dan Pierce
Yes, definitely 3s, not 7s looking at cabinet dimensions. Great resource and I appreciate the input! Wanting to be sure my price is fair/reasonable.
TasDom
Do the RF7's have labels? Only asking because the RF5 would have been more the match to what you have. At any rate, good looking set and best wishes with the sale.
Dan Pierce
No labels unfortunately. They are RF-7s. When I purchased this set, I had recently acquired a pair of Carver Silver 7 amps and was primarily looking for a set of floorstanding speakers that would allow the amps to really shine. The home theater aspect was more of a novelty, and I powered the setup with a Sony Elite Series receiver (don't laugh, I was young and on a budget haha). Given the mismatch in the setup, I might be better off selling the RF-7s separately from the other 4.
