AlmostGod
Heya everyone! As some of you may know, I've recently got my new Klipsch RF-7 II's and I've been enjoying them a lot! I notice at some songs the impact or the 'oomph' is a little bit too much, and I'm guessing this is because of the placement, they're at a sloping side which basically guides the bass port towards me. I was hoping adding some foam plugs to them might get them a little bit more controlled. Does anyone got any inputs on this? I was thinking the foam should be cylindrical (obviously) and the diameter would be around 15 cm. Does length matter for them? Cheers! jason str
Shove some rolled up towels in the ports and give it a listen before spending any money.

If you really want foam, go to a place like Walmart and get some foam and just cut it about 4"-5" strip and roll it until it fits snugly in the ports. Not expensive. 1HOHDude
Room harmonics have a great deal to do with bass sound. Try moving the speakers around a bit and consider location of major furniture since a couch or soft chair is a great absorber of bass. Try a throw rug directly in front of the speaker which often makes a huge improvement. THEN try foam.

And it's also for the "oomph" the RF creates. The plugs cost me 1.5 euro's each. Does anybody know the exact size? Maybe i can try small rugs, like bathmats, would this help? derrickdj1
You can always make them from a cheap mattress pads. If it work, cover the pad with cloth for a more permanent fix.

1HOHDude
Plugging the vent makes the speaker sound more like a sealed speaker but without the improvement in distortion. In my case it seemed like it killed the 33 to 60 cycle bass.
