mobile homeless
One of the outputs looks a might bit stressed and the freak didnt have enough sense to not write all the tube labels in pencil or pen right on the chassis, troubling in and of itself. Remember, these amps could be built by goons just like your next door neighbor with the too tight baseball cap and the smoking Dodge Dart. You need to wonder who built it, if it was factory wired, how much alcohol was involved, and if they heated the WIRE or the SOLDER. Be intelligent and dont get carried away. kh This message has been edited by mobile homeless on 09-23-2002 at 01:32 PM

mobile homeless
Guy, where were you earlier? Two members from Europe who needed 220 PS were looking for HF-81s a few days back. Both ended up buying unis wired for US power. How long have you had the amp? kh
Guy Landau
Kelly,I have it sitting around for few years and was'nt thinking of selling it.It is mint and looks much better in real than in photos. I might be willing to exchange the transformer with one of the members and try to sell it on ebay.

Freud
Guy landau, Thank you for the fotos, i receive them! It look in good condition, but changing the 110V tranformer with one in 220V don't ditort the musicality? Regards, Freud
Guy Landau
Freud, The transformer was wound on the original core to the same specifications so I don't think that it affects the sound.
