jcmusic
Ok guys I am using Forte II's as main in a 5.1 setup, time to upgrade. Which center will work good with the forte's? Also which wall mounted surrounds will work good with the Forte's? Room is small 14x13x8... The surrounds have to be wall mounted I have no room for any other option... dtr20
The Academy is the closest match to the fortes. That being said, there are better centers out there like the klf-c7. As for surrounds, I use a pair of kg1.5 speakers which work great.
Frzninvt
Obvious choice is more Forte's if that is not possible. KG.5 (wall mountable), KG1, KG1.2, KG1.5, KG2, KG2.2, KG2.5, KG3, KG4, and Heresy are honorable mentions.
Terry Palmer
I have Forte’ 1, I use KP-201 as a center. Works great!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jcmusic
I ordered the RP 450C with the RP250S surrounds.
Frzninvt
Sell the Forte' II's and get the matching Reference mains since the Timbre' mismatch will be obvious with pans across the front stage.
jcmusic
Even with the titanium tweeters you think there will be a mis match?
Frzninvt
Totally different tonality between the genre's. Don't get me wrong it won't sound bad, but it will not blend seamlessy with the Forte' II's and your center is the most important speaker the one all the other speakers should be anchored too. Reference mains will make it seamless. An Academy and Quartet's in the rear would have been killer.
jcmusic
Well to late now I already have the center 450c and the 250s surrounds, so I will have to work with them.
