RC-3 center and RS-3 surrounds

RC-3's fetch between $80-$150

RS-3's are somewhat in demand $170-$250 depending on condition.

I think you mentioned you had an RSW-12 as well, Klipsch has yet to make a respectable replacement for those subs, and they're arguably best for music.  The RF-3's you have should clean up quite nice if you just do some minor altercations with the XO.

Yes i do have that sub.  That RS-3 price is for the pair right?

Yes.

Your setup is really nice, but if you're transitioning to music only, then there's really no need for the surrounds and center - like you say.  The sub will still benefit you, and if you decide to go the route of a nice stereo amp such as that Integra, selling off the gear you aren't using should just about cover all of the expenses.

turn off everything and use direct out of the DAC

If still too bright, the unit should have a built in EQ you can adjust.

On my pioneer surround, it has a feature called X curve for just this problem, it rolls off the high end and is adjustable.

May be a similar feature on the yammy

I'm using a Denon AVR 790 and the RF-3's sound really good. BUT i've got a itch to splurge and treat myself to some new speakers.  I'm very impulsive lately. I'm selling my Yamaha RX-995.  Thinking of selling the RF-3's.  They're in really really good shape. What's the going price you've seen for a pair? Thanks

$300-$500 depending on location, finish, and condition.  They generally have to be mint to punch above $400.
