Craig’s success story shows why I feel there is too much pressure on young people to go to college right out of high school. College is not for everyone, and it is not right for everyone at the same age. I would prefer a system where young people have a service requirement, similar to Israel, before pursing education beyond high school. It could be in the military, something similar to Peace Corps, or something else. Young people would get an opportunity to mature, decide what are their interests and aptitude’s, and then focus on further education.
