joessportster
After a recent brush with craziness I have decided to employ a couple cameras I bought years ago model 47546 ip cameras, they have a basic phone line type connector on the camera itself, That plugs into a 100 foot cord which has a 12Volt power connector, a single video rca type plug, and a single rca audio type plug I was able to test both cameras, cables and power transformers and everything works (pic quality is poor(ish) but we deal with what we must temporarily. My testing consisted of connecting the cameras to an input on my yamaha receiver which outputted the signal to my TV via usb, I got video and sound so all working, Now I could easily attach each camera to avail inputs on the Receiver and skip from 1 input to the other for viewing but that does not help with recording Can I take 1 of the HDMI outputs and connect to my PC hdmi and use my Hard drive to record ? is there an easier way ? I know someone here messes with this stuff and will know on hell of a lot more than me. Only Caveat is I would like to keep spending below 100.00 I am on a fixed income and cant afford to go out and spend a bunch of $$$$ I also have no interest in a monitoring or ? subscription service Link to the camera: https://www.harborfreight.com/weatherproof-security-camera-with-night-vision-47546.html
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted May 7, 2018 Moderators Share Posted May 7, 2018 Not much help here. We have cameras all the way around (7), ADT provides the interface, and it all goes to a dedicated hard drive that records on loop for 90 days. (Today overwrites what was recorded 91 days ago). There was be some software available that will provide an interface that will allow you to record it to a hard drive. Travis
MarryRobins
I know it has been a while since someone posted here, but I wonder if you found something to defend your house?

Camera's are or maybe determinant at best. It's not going to stop anyone with bad intentions !
