Im about to bid on some blue klipsch 8 inch woofers on ebay. Has klispch ever made a blue woofer? Also, does anyone know if this will work with favorable results. Its cheaper than ordering a new one from klipsch. I know this is a vague question but ill take whatever advice you can offer. Thanks!!!! tpg Posted October 15, 2002 Share Posted October 15, 2002 I think the woofers you are referring to are actually white... although they can appear blue. Those are the woofers from the KG-4's, some form of ICG cone woofer. I am not sure how they will match with the KG-3.5 woofer, but I like the way they look better. you might just replace both woofers with the new white ones, that way frequency responses/sensitivity/etc will match, though they may not have the same crossover... Klipsch Employees Trey Cannon Posted October 17, 2002 Klipsch Employees Share Posted October 17, 2002 The woofer you are talking about is a k-8-k or a k-9-k One is 4 Ohms the other 8 Ohms You would not want to use these woofers in your kg-3.5 It will not fit or work as it should. The woofer you need can be found from the Klipsch parts dept.
