Deang
I currently have these in a cubic foot box. Is it possible to use them in a .5 cubic foot box? You guessed right, I’m a complete moron when it comes to low pass systems. https://radianaudio.com/products/5208c/
Marvel
Is this downsizing or for your workbench? I'm pretty sure you will lose more bottom end. Have you tried contacting Radian or is that a losing proposition?
pzannucci
You will definitely lose some bottom end but if you tune the box at fs of the driver or just a little below, using a slot port as large as you can in the confines of the box, it may not be too bad. Key is getting the port area as large as you can (deeper slot). This is the old day method vs using the full T/S parms.
Deang
Right now, I'm using a 4" ID x 4 3/8" L port. It gets me down to 60Hz. Since I have a good sub, I was willing to give up LF extension for power handling. I was wondering how much more bass I would lose if I cut the box size in half. I suppose I could break down and buy some modeling software, but that seems kind of excessive for this one off project.
Marvel
Does it have any acoustic material in the box?
