Invidiosulus Posted December 18, 2002 Share Posted December 18, 2002 Yep, Some friends and I had tickets to the first midnight showing I don't want to spoil anything so I'll just say this: It's a great Movie. We saw it at the AMC theater at downtown disney in orlando, auditorium 1. This auditorium is rather large I say, It has three levels of seating. My only regret is that I didn't get there early enough to get a really good seat, I was on the first row, just to the left of the center. Well first row is closer to the subwoofers I guess. Incidentally being the nerd that I am I took along my SPL meter to take some readings. Needless to say I got pretty caught up in the movie, but when I was taking readings during the louder action scenes they peaked out at around 95Db. 95Db makes me realize how we tend to go louder with our home systems then the theaters do. Now that I have had some sleep and I think about it I don't think it was in THX I realized I didn't see a THX trailer. The THX trailer on AOTC with the water droplets is my favorite. Unfortunatly, I may have to wait to after christmas, unless I can find the movie theater in Harrisonburg (where the ski hill is). I may have to try to sneak out and go catch this flick (can you imagine that? Me skipping out on skiing to go see a movie? That goes to show just how good Lord of the Rings truly is!
