ddfunk
Greetings! I acquired a beautiful pair of 75’ khorns and am trying to understand what type B collared vs no collar means. I’ve searched but really not a lot of info out there about that . Thanks!
Drewg
Congrats on the purchase of your khorns! I also have the ‘75 collared Khorns, and I believe all it means is that the top piece is able to be removed/separated from the bass bin. GWSmith
Hi there............here is a photo of my 1968 'C's with RARE white grills. I owned these for 14 years and have only seen one other pair on the internet. Who ever had them took the bottom molding off which is too bad, these were like new and all original. Enjoy. KT88
Is there a difference in sound between Klipschorn type B collared vs no collar type C? Perhaps some other resonances when there is only one top plate?
OO1
none , klipschorns Type B ( deluxe )- C ( standard ) -D ( economy ) perform equally , except for the appearance
KT88
I have got a deal with a 1973 KC FR no collar, only one owner, mint, all parts original. I am very exited. Will pick it up in 2 weeks in Italy.
Toz
Exciting! Is this your first set of corner horns? They are fun speakers! Get to know them well before you decide to tinker with them, if that happens to be your nature. I've spent more time returning mine to stock configuration after every change I've ever made.
