Kain
RF-35?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!!!!!!!!
Kain
Oh! I just found out something. The Klipsch RF-35 replaces the Klipsch RF-3 II and NOT the Klipsch RF-7. It seems the Klipsch RF-7 is still the top-of-the-line Reference Series floorstanding speaker, WHAT A RELIEF! BUT! There is now a Klipsch RB-75! Think of it as a Klipsch RB-7! speed3
Hurry up everyone, and start panicking that you need the latest and greatest. I could use a set of RB3's or 5's for my office. 1/2 price would fit my style just right:)
Scipio80
And to think, I was just contemplating buying some rb-5's or RF-3's for a two channel setup, I guess my timing was excellent.
Kain
So, does the Klipsch RF-7 still remain the top-of-the-line Reference Series floorstanding speaker?
JLL
Ya, I think the RF-7 is still the top of the line flagship model.
Scipio80
Its strange that they would update all the other reference models with these new stronger cones but not the 10 inchers on the rf-7.

I am kind of happy they didn't upgrade the RF-7 because I feel better knowing I still have the "best."
Scipio80
Exactly my point. You would think they would want the people with the "bug" to go out and buy the new latest and greatest and sell the RF-7's to people like me for 1/1000 of their original cost. Maybe that's what I want.
Scipio80
whoops.
shoe11
Looks like the 7 and RSW series are still the top of the line. The 3 series line is being completely redone and they are extending the line lower down the price range with the rest of the new stuff. Shoe's upgrade steps remain unchanged! ~shoe

That is kinda funny, because I remember there was a thread asking why there was no RB-7. Well, sounds like there is going to be one!
michael hurd
NOOOOO ! Are they trying to emulate polk audio ? I realize that in a dog eat dog market, you have to adapt, but the old adage goes ( if it ain't broke, don't fix it ). Why not spruce up the asthetics ? Sure. But a complete line change up to compete at a lower price point ? Different cones, asthetics, etc. Please don't tell me they are going to do this with the heritage line too. Scipio80
It seems to me more like a line upgrade and extension. Although they didn't have any pics up yesterday the gist of the article implied they would be keeping the styling of the other reference models. pierceb
WOW! I'm glad I have the RF7 package and not the RF3 package, I think I would have a case of upgraditus. Looks funky, will likely sell lots of them. I wonder how they sould in comparison to the current line. -PB
