fini
I was wandering around downtown Reno today (searching for Kenratboy?), getting away from the casinos. I poked my head into an auction house and had a look around. I found a pair of these, that the auctioneer uses as his PA speakers. I'm fairly certain someone remodeled a pair of Heresys into what you see here. I didn't ask, but he probably wasn't interested in selling. Sorry the photo is on its side. fini
JohnA
there was some design efort put into it and it looks like a Klipsch squawker horn. Did it sound like Hell?
Deang
Just think, if the guy would have yanked the tweeter, mounted it on top, and moved it back about a foot -- he would have had a set of "time aligned" Heresies.
fini
John, I didn't hear them. They were hooked up to his PA, and the auctioneer's voice is probably all that's come through them in years. fini
Invidiosulus
hmm, Kinda reminds me of this basshorn, http://www.vt52.com/diy/myprojects/speakers/bass/bass.htm Is it just me or does the squawker horn look a little taller than a standard heresy midrange? Definitely not a heresy motorboard for the squawker/tweeter. Also the woofer looks kinda small for a 12", but then again the angle of the pic is really messing with my head It looks like some nice work on the cabinet though. Peace, Josh btw, wouldn't a "time aligned" setup with a three way like the heresy components have issues with the tweeter reflecting off of the top of the cabinet? fini
Here's a closer shot of the tweeter and squawker. Definitely not a plywood motorboard, and the horns are mounted from the inside. The rear wire terminals looked like the ones on my '80 Cornwalls. Now I'm not so certain... fini
