Kman
Yes, Kman has another question for my fellow Klipsch members. I am looking to set up a system for DVD-Audio /multi-channel SACD. I was thinking of replacing KLF30s/KLF7/KSPS6 system (still in their boxes anyway) for maybe 4-RF5s/RC7- because from what I have read- its better to have identical speakers for front and back for multi-channel music. Is this the right move?-any opinions appreciated Kman
minn_male42
kman, welcome to the forum!!!! i am currently using KLF-30's for my fronts, a KLF-C7 for the center and RC-3's for my rears...and i think that this setup works fantastic for multichannel!!!..(almost forgot - velodyne ct-150 sub) there may be some merit to identical speakers all around, but remember that the rear channels are not being asked to do the same job as the mains or center...i have about 10 multichannel sacd's and have not felt anything lacking in my system... russ
marksdad
i dont have identical speaks, and i challange that identical speaks theory, i use my set up for everything, from 2 channel, to ??????? multichannel is like sex nowadays, it is just sooooo satisfying, i think the only thing you really need to consider is timbre matching
Kman
Its a tough call between the two systems, I suppose there are no places that have any new Legend series speakers for sale? Kman
M6 Driver
I'm afraid that the Legends were discontinued to make room for the Reference series. You could risk www.Ubid.com but their shipping is a case of extortion. Also Ebay,Audiogon come up used though. sorry for edits using a new keyboard.
