dodger
Gretings As I am new to this board's postings I was hopin to get a reply or two regarding LaScala's coming with grill cloth covering the entire fron fronts of the the speaker. They were made in the mid '70s and the cloth covers top to bottom with molding nailed on the outside. can anyone help? I own several pairs of Klipsch Speakers, but have only become aware of this forum when speaking with someone from Klipsch.. Thanks.

sunnysal
I should hang back and let HDBRuilder answer this but...It sounds to me like someone did that cover themselves. found matching molding and nailed a cloth cover over the front. not a bad idea really...post the model and serial number as it reads on the speakers to help the experts give you specific feedback. regards, tony
WMcD
I seem to recall seeing some factory units with a covering over the top, but not the bass bin. The use of nails sets off some alarm bells. I'm not quite sure whether the issue might be. This may well be a mod by the former user. You yourself may wish to customize your LS to suit your taste. Many people do, partularly in view of their utilitarian appearance. Gil
j-malotky
Winford I have seen LaScallas like you mention in a few places over the years. I do not think that was a factory option, but were added by owners who did not like the W cabinet LAS look. JM
