Just an FYI. (I followed this from 2 channel forum)

A huge cost saving can be had for DVD lovers by taking a membership in Netflix(www.netflix.com). For a few bucks a month, you can rent virtually anything sold on DVD cheaper than a Pay per view movie or a BlockBuster/Hollywood rental, or whoever you might rent from. You order on line, DVD's are sent to your home mailbox, no limit to how long you can keep it without a penalty, you send it back by mail and get the next movie in your cue mailed to you. NO standing in lines at the retail or rental cash register. Their library of titles exceeds any retail or rental outlet, and you never have a storage problem. I started my membership when they began operations and found them to have great customer service, very convenient, and allows everyone in the family to browse their huge library in the comfort of your own home. I only purhcase those DVD's I really want to have around as household favorites that may want to be re-seen on a moments notice. Maybe it's just a California thing, but Netflix works for me.

Disclaimer: I own no stock or have any financial interest in Netflix.com.

Klipsch out.

I have been a member of Netflix since 1999. Most of the movie I watch are one time views--if I watch them again it's years later and I can rent them again.

I hated having to run back to Blockbuster--and often had to pay late fees. I also don't like PPV. Netflix is perfect for me and it's hard to justify buying DVDs although sometimes the collector bug strikes and I want to have some of my all time favorites.

There are some DVDs that I want to own for frequent viewing:

*movies for kids

* my favorite concerts (ie Led Zep)

* comedy classics with certains scenes that I view in partial from time to time

* HT demo material: Star Wars, etc.

* James Bond

* MASH Seasons 1-3 (I've been watching a few at at time very slowly).
